Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) - Brizzly Picnics

What is a Brizzly Picnic?

Picnics are a new way to talk and share with the people you know. You can exchange messages, photos, videos and links in real time.

Post photo URLs from Brizzly, Twitpic, Yfrog, or Flickr and we'll automatically show them inline, as well as any links ending in .jpg, .gif, or .png. We'll also enable play for YouTube and Vimeo video URLs. Post a link to a Twitter post and we'll show you the text of the tweet right in the picnic. Even better, you can click the picnic basket icon that appears on a tweet on hover and we'll send it to the picnic of your choice.

How do I create a picnic?

From either your Twitter or Facebook tab in Brizzly, you can create a picnic under the "more" tab. If you're on the picnic tab simply click the "create a picnic" link from the left navigation.

Who can I invite to a picnic?

Anyone! You can email the invitation link, or send it as a Twitter direct message. Remember that you can only DM people who follow you. You can also copy the link and share it via instant message, Facebook message, or whatever other means you choose.

Can other people see my picnic?

Only those who have the invitation link will be able to join and see the content of your picnic. If you're concerned about privacy, choose secure ways to share your invitation link (i.e. use email or DM instead of posting to your public Twitter stream or your Facebook wall).

How many picnics can I participate in?

At the moment, you can join a maximum of ten picnics (including those you've created). We will increase that in the future.

How do I delete a picnic?

If you're the owner of a picnic, you can delete it by clicking on the link next to your picnic's name. If you do not own the picnic and are simply a guest, you can unfollow it by checking the "x" that appears in the left navigation.

Can I view an archive of my picnic messages?

Not at the moment. We have several features, including archiving, in the works for future releases. We'll include an option to get a daily digest of messages shortly. Hopefully that will adequately substitute archives temporarily. You can suggest any other feature ideas on our Get Satisfaction page.
